Professionalisation

In January 2013 the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) approved SARA's application to be recognised as a professional body. Five (5) reward designations were approved as well as a number of different policies ensuring the sustainability of SARA as well as its ability to execute the mandate entrusted to it under the auspices of the SAQA registration.

In late 2016, SAQA also approved three (3) International Mobility (IM) designations, making professional development a reality for IM practitioners in South Africa.
