More about the Speakers
Dianne was born and educated in Zimbabwe. She worked as a maths teacher and then in a variety of reward management and consulting roles for Richards Bay Minerals, Unilever and Old Mutual, before establishing Auld Compensation Consulting in 1999.
Dianne currently consults on all aspects of reward to a wide range of corporate clients. In partnership with PwC Remchannel she runs a number of remuneration training workshops, and designed REMeasure. In partnership with Worldatwork Dianne has developed a number of e-learning and blended learning products on Excel skills, dashboards and pay structuring. Dianne is a faculty member with Worldatwork, and also has a part time role with Pick n Pay, advising on group remuneration policy and practices.
Dianne has obtained her GRP, CCP and CSCP certifications through Worldatwork. She is on the committee of the Western Cape branch of SARA.
The Compensation and Benefits Formula handbook including Dianne’s Excel Tips was published by Worldatwork in March 2012, it sold out at both the 2012 and 2013 conferences, and is on their best seller list. Dianne has just completed a 7 city tour of the US, training her excel course, and she presented at both the 2012 and 2013 Total Reward conferences.
Paul is Director: Remuneration – TFG. He is a CA(SA) and has a strong background in financial management, financial planning and financial education. He joined the Remuneration department of TFG in July 2012 and is a member of TFG’s HR Exco. Paul is responsible for Guaranteed Pay, STI’s, LTI’s and Job Evaluations within the group and has a passion for communication of Total Rewards.
Tracy Short is the Divisional Chief Executive – Shared Services for Grindrod Freight Services part of the Grindrod Limited Group, a listed blue chip Company, based in Durban.
Tracy has solid financial management experience across multiple business environments. As a seasoned trouble shooter she has been instrumental in turn around plans that have resulted in substantial growth in profitability. She has a track record in the design and delivery of cost effective, high performance information technology infrastructures and applications to address complex business problems. Although on paper a bean counter Tracy has over the more recent years developed a secret passion for Human Resources and has a particular interest in Compensation.
